Sloan Leo is a strategic facilitator, community designer, artist and theorist whose interdisciplinary practice weaves together participatory systems, multimedia art, and speculative inquiry.

As Founder, CEO, and Lead Facilitator of FLOX Studio, they’ve spent over a decade guiding social‑impact organizations through transformational design processes that center futurity and care.

Their projects, installations and  gatherings engage questions of queerness and post‑capitalist worldmaking. Influenced by José Esteban Muñoz’s queer utopias, Audre Lorde’s radical self‑care, and Marxist critiques of labor, Sloan Leo’s art practice resists normative temporality and foregrounds co‑labored infrastructures.

Whether prototyping mutual‑aid cooperatives or staging performative research gatherings by the water’s edge, Sloan Leo makes art—and designs systems—that affirm collective autonomy, interdependence, and the enduring possibilities of a queer life.

Based in Philadelphia, PA, they have deep roots and community in Brooklyn, NY.
