Influenced by José Esteban Muñoz’s queer utopias, Audre Lorde’s radical self‑care, and Marxist critiques of labor, Sloan Leo’s art practice resists normative temporality and foregrounds co‑labored infrastructures. 

Whether prototyping mutual‑aid cooperatives or staging performative research gatherings by the water’s edge, Sloan Leo makes art—and designs systems—that affirm collective autonomy, interdependence, and the enduring possibilities of a queer life.
